What is my-IAM RealIdentity
my-IAM RealIdentity is a cloud service that provides identities of all kinds in real time.
In practice, this means that RealIdentity
- can work with many different source systems,
- from which it draws the original data and
- with intelligent mapping and merging logic,
- it combines and organizes all data and makes it ready for use.
The technology that enables the smart combination of identity data is our in-house RealTalk technology.
Why do you need this service?
In practice, companies use different applications, databases and systems to store their contact data, whether it’s in telephone systems, CRM databases, HR systems or directories such as AD and Entra ID. All these systems contain valuable information about internal and external identities: names, addresses, job titles and all kinds of useful additional information. However, they are spread across different sources. There is no central platform where everything comes together.
This is where RealIdentity comes in. Our service can work with all kinds of identity data from different source systems and centralize it. At the end, you get one clean record – a complete overview of all your identities.

Use and manage identities with RealIdentity 2.0
As the name suggests, RealIdentity focuses on (digital) identities – in other words, the digital profile of a person. The days when it was enough to just manage internal employees are long gone – nowadays, a company’s network extends far beyond corporate boundaries. RealIdentity therefore focuses on all the identities that are part of the corporate universe:
- employees
- guests
- customers
- partners
- business and private contacts of all kind.
The main task of RealIdentity is to consolidate these identities from various source systems. You can then decide what you want to do with the identity data:
- display and manage the data in a global directory, such as my-IAM PeopleConnect,
- use in your own apps or databases
- or integrate and manage the identities in a IAM solution, such as FirstWare IDM-Portal.
my-IAM PeopleConnect uses RealIdentity and displays all identities in a global directory, here directly in MS Teams (also available in a separate web app, in Outlook or on mobile devices).
In practice: In the my-IAM PeopleConnect app, all identities are displayed based on the RealIdentity Business Service. You can search for all users, quickly contact them, edit profiles, and create new identities.
Further optimizations
In version 2.0, important technical optimizations were carried out. These include:
- Performance improvements of the search
- Performance improvements of the M365 import
- New ODATA API with complex filter
- New APIs to retrieve the delta (new changes)
- Existing APIs extended to optionally specify the PageSize
- Update of packages and frameworks

The my-IAM platform combines all identities from different source systems and makes them available for applications and apps of any kind. In addition to the MS Teams-integrated app my-IAM PeopleConnect, it includes the business services my-IAM RealIdentity and my-IAM RealGroup.
