Release of PeopleConnect 2.2 – Fast display of all identities
The new release of PeopleConnect 2.2 contains a number of innovations that make it even faster and more intuitive for users. These include an improved display of all identities and contacts, as well as the seamless integration of PeopleConnect into Outlook.

Fast display of all identities
In the PeopleConnect 2.2 version, changes were made when opening the application. In the standard setup, all company contacts are now displayed without restriction.
This corresponds to an ad hoc search for all identities. It is also possible to define a role-specific filter that determines which identities are initially displayed on the first page.
A new feature in version 2.2 is the empty search. This displays all internal and external identities without restriction. In the prioritization, M365 users and M365 guests are displayed first, followed by all other identities. The order can be customized.
Predefined search
You can now predefine search filters in the search bar. The filters can be found and easily selected in the search bar pop-up.
In addition to the standard filters “All identities” and “All groups”, further filters can be defined, such as “My company” or “My personal contacts”. The filter configured on the SearchTemplate is in OData format and therefore very flexible.
In addition, the filter can also be based on the properties of the logged-in user, so that, for example, “My department” displays different search results for employees in HR and logistics. The predefined search makes using the application even easier, as results are available immediately.
Improved display in Outlook
PeopleConnect now technically provides the same client for all connected applications. This means that the same PeopleConnect client is now used in Microsoft Outlook as in MS Teams and on the web.
As a result, the technology used is the same everywhere and the same features are available. PeopleConnect contacts are now seamlessly integrated into Outlook and can be used in the familiar, user-friendly tile view.
Further optimizations
In the latest version 2.2, a major change has been made to the application’s backend, which has resulted in a noticeable improvement in performance. Packages and frameworks have also been updated.
